Shanghai Jiao Tong University has just released the 2011 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). Among the world's top 500 institutions, Harvard University took the top spot again for 2011, followed by Stanford University (2nd, up from 3rd in 2010), and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (3rd, up from 4th in 2010).
