According to the 2011 Asian university rankings by the Chosun Ilbo and Quacquarelli Symonds, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) moved up from second place last year to the No. 1 university in Asia for 2011, followed by University of Hong Kong in second place and National University of Singapore (NUS) in third place regionally.
